With the new General Data Protection Regulation coming into affect this month, we are pleased to confirm that we have always made it clear that personal data is provided for registration purposes only and treated in confidence, and any data supplied for public information is clearly defined for that purpose. We further confirm that we actively seek permission for further contact and would never sell or distribute email lists to third parties.

The CAWC Code is not just a piece of paper, it is a personal commitment to the standards set by it. In implementing the Code, the Council has provided professional profiling and public feedback facilities, to meet future and professional demands. Having attended a recent consultation meeting on licencing and responsible ownership, many are encouraging action on further regulations.

All individual practitioners are influential in the education of the public, and as such, we (practitioners) need to unite and offer mutual support and guidance to help ensure everyone provides most appropriate service in the best way possible. This is not a competition but at times, with so much confusion, it feels like it. The RCDTBP is all inclusive and welcomes all related organisations and individuals committed to animal welfare and responsible ownership, regardless of other affiliations.

The Registration Council has the responsibility to manage and hold the official register of Signatories to the CAWC Code of Practice

in regard to dogs. In doing so, it aims to unite all practitioners, service and course providers, related membership organisations

and charities; promote all efforts to advance animal welfare, and increase individual understanding of training, behaviour

and the canine-human relationship, whilst monitoring services to benefit and protect the public.

Register Your Interest With Us

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in the national registration of dog training and behaviour practitioners under the CAWC Code of Practice.

If you are a contact person for a canine related organisation, course or service provider with an interest in our development and wishing to be kept updated, please contact us giving details of your involvement. We are not in competition with any other organisation, but quite the opposite, we feel all should be recognised for their individuality and supported for the good work they do. We just wish to unite all with mutually beneficial industry affiliation, and hope you will take the opportunity to become involved, putting judgments aside for the greater good of advancing canine welfare and good practice.

If you are an individual in good standing, regardless of other affiliations and levels of experience, providing, helping or wishing to provide canine services for the public, we sincerely hope you will consider applying for formal Registration with us, to demonstrate your personal commitment to good standards.

Please Contact Us if you have any questions, concerns, or wish to be part of the consultation process.
